Our Second-Year Basketball team had their cup qualifying fixtures on the 10th of December. They started their day bright and early in the sports hal,l and all the girls were very happy to play together again after last year's great season.
In the first game, the girls fought hard and won their game against the fierce opponents from Holy Faith, Clontarf. During the breaks the teams indulged in some tasty home-baked goods that the Dominican College girls made, which gave them the extra energy to continue the day.
In the second game against Coláiste Bríde, the girls had an outstanding performance and won comfortably qualifying onto the final. Although the final game was very tough against Loreto Dalkey, our team proved how well the girls could work together, helping them to beat the tiredness and win the fixture.
At the end of the match, the girls were thrilled with their performance and erupted with joy. We hope they will continue this winning streak in the cup games, and we wish them the best of luck representing our school after the winter break.
