4.1 would like to thank Ms. Butler and Ms. Halton for their support, the judges Ms. Mairead McGuire, Bernie Edgeworth and Fionnuala O’Sullivan, and the technical support of Mr. Robert Hurley, and all the other members of staff who helped out in any way.
Congratulations to the 4.1 Mini-Company production team and their teachers Ms. Diane Mohan and Mr. Sean McDermott.
We are delighted to announce that our Spanish debating team is up and running since last November! Our students from 5th and 6th year (Georgina Garrigan, Phillipa Mc Hale, Emma Lousie Hutchinson, Sarah Corcoran and Dawn Lonegran) meet on a weekly basis to practice debating topical issues which are likely to be found on the leaving cert syllabus. Unfortunately, there has not been enough interest to debate with other schools at competition level. However, we are practicing in the hope of competing with others next year and overall its great oral practice and so much fun!!
