www.qualifax.ie has an events calendar for all those Sixth Year students wishing to avail of any open days available before the CAO application deadline.

All Hallows College, Colaiste Mhuire-Marino Institute of Education, Mater Dei Institution of Education, St. Patrick's College-Drumcondra and UCD all have an open day this Saturday (17/11/12).

Work is well underway for the TY show, Taispeántas - Being Young and Irish, taking place between November 20-22nd. TY students looked at work by the London based street artist Banksy and then devised their own themes acting as their own models.

As well as creating the set design, the girls have also been working on four large art work panels to be displayed on the corridors. We hope the panels will remain fixed after the show to brighten up the school. The design team numbering around 40 have all been working extremely hard and enjoying every minute of the experience.

TY Taispeántas 2012

The show, directed by Seán Gilligan, consists of two parts; Act 1 is a fantastic variety show and Act 2 is a hilarious romantic comedy about being young and Irish. Songs by artists such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Queen and Dolly Parton will also be included.

All students, parents and teachers are welcome to attend. Tickets for this year's TY show "Taispeántas" tickets will be on sale outside the hall at lunchtime every day for €11. The show will take place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of November.
