Bridget McKane (1916) Remembered

Ms Tracy, one of our own teachers, is the grandniece of Bridget McKane who was aged only 15 years when she was hit by a stray bullet while rebels from the surrounding area of Moore Street were seeking refuge. Bridget, one of many children, who died in the conflict is remembered not just in Joe Duffy's book on the children who lost there lives during the Easter Rising, but also by her relatives, who like Ms Tracy, are delighted to keep her memory alive.

Ms. Tracy, as part of our school's Proclamation Day activities gave the following presentation to First and Second Years and was given a standing ovation for her delivery of the topic.
